Fourth Annual At the Net Tennis Event and Tournament

Our Fourth Annual At the Net Tennis Event and Tournament was our most successful event to date. Funds raised were close to $300,000. To date we have raised over $1,000,000. The turnout was tremendous and our dedicated volunteers, board and committee members worked extremely hard to ensure that the day went smoothly.

Tennis pros Brenda Schultz-McCarthy and Murphy Jensen conducted tennis clinics, played matches with participants, and hosted the fastest serve competition throughout the day. There was a wide variety of additional entertainment for the players and spectators. David Ippilito, known as the Central Park Guitar Man, entertained the crowd, and complimentary massages, nutritional analysis, and sports therapy were available to all spectators, courtesy of RM Training. All guests were entitled to a buffet breakfast and lunch catered by Josephina Restaurant and Sullivan Bakery, water provided by Dasani, and snacks and fruits and vegetables provided by and Everlast and A & J Produce. Children's entertainment was provided by Broadway Babies, and all of the kids received a special Turn the Corner gift bag. The event featured over fifty unique auction and sweepstakes items, including a private wine tasting by Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, a private dinner for eight guests in the winner's home by Cook with Class, tickets to Spamalot, an Oscar package from Warren Tricomi and a silver membership to the popular New York City kid’s hotspot, Kidville.
